Nebraska/Dakotas ASLA & Crouch Recreation are proud to announce the 2021 Landscape Architecture Freestyle Pandemic Scholarship

Eligibility:

Students currently enrolled in the Landscape Architecture Program at NDSU, SDSU or UNL
2020 graduates of the Landscape Architecture Programs of NDSU, SDSU or UNL currently seeking employment in the field of Landscape Architecture

Jury will consist of at least one ASLA member from North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and a representative from Crouch Recreation.

Award: $500 cash money (actually a check written directly to YOU!)

Application Deadline: email submittals must be received by April 23, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Email applications to ndcasla.info@gmail.com. A selection is anticipated by May 15, 2021.

What to submit: whatever you think is needed to tell your story. It could be a short essay, a video, photos of a work of art, a copy of a project, etc. Must be a digital submittal with a reasonable file size that can easily be shared with jury members.

Selection will be based on your creativity and demonstration of how a $500 bonus will make you a better student of landscape architecture. It could be, but is not limited to, one of these:

Financial need due to COVID or other hardship
Funding for a community service project
Travel to see something cool (in a safe and responsible way, of course)
Take an art class this summer
Research project
Purchase materials for the LA studio at your university
Reward yourself for an awesome student project that you recently completed

What’s the catch? Provide follow-up on how the scholarship was used, including photos to be shared in the NDC ASLA Insight newsletter, on social media, and with our generous sponsor, Crouch Recreation.
